Hartberg Will Have To Win At Home In The Second Leg If They Want To Turn Things Around

Austria Vienna takes the lead in the race for the last European Cup ticket

Hartberg will have to win at home in the second leg if they want to turn things around

The first leg of the play-off final of the Austrian Bundesliga was played on Friday evening, with Austria Vienna taking a 1-0 lead over TSV Hartberg at the Generali Arena

The only goal of the match was scored by Dominik Fitz in the 63rd minute. The second leg will be played next Friday, May 27, at Hartberg's Profertil Arena. The winner of the tie will qualify for the UEFA Europa Conference League.

Austria Vienna is the most successful club in Austrian history, with 24 league titles and 27 cup titles. They have also reached the final of a European competition on four occasions, winning the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup in 1978.

TSV Hartberg is a much smaller club, but they have been one of the Überraschungsmannschaften in recent seasons. They finished fourth in the Bundesliga in 2021-22, which was their highest-ever finish.

The second leg of the play-off final is sure to be a close and exciting contest. Hartberg will need to score at least two goals to win the tie, while Austria Vienna will be looking to defend their lead and qualify for Europe.
